| The Aylesbury Vale Repeater Group was formed in 1980, with G6NB as it's chairman, to improve VHF & UHF communications for mobile stations in this area. The committee has changed considerably since then, now with Mike G8BQH as the Chairman, and Cathy G1GQJ as the Secretary/Treasurer
Since starting GB3VA has come on the air, GB3AV has been rebuilt, GB3BV has also come on the air, and GB7VA has become operational.
There are about 100 paying members to the group, subs being due in February each year at £15.00 at the moment.
Spare units are held for all the voice repeaters hence upon a failure a repair is carried out very quickly. The policy of the group is for minimum down time, hence no CTCSS or timeout on any of our repeaters.
"The AVRG website has recently moved to a new server and is now running on a shiny new 64 Bit platform with the content delivered from a live database driven CMS" - Phil M0PSH January 2010

"The through audio quality on the voice repeaters is unity other than limiting the deviation if necessary." - G8BQH Dec 2004.
Meetings
